Son Reboa captures the Mediterranean at its essence. Lime plaster walls meet stone floors in an elemental dialogue, robust yet refined. Its palette,- drawn from the surrounding ground, shifts like the Serra de Tramuntana itself, from pale almond, the dusty umbres, the blushing clays, sage greens and rich olive.
Furniture here is not placement but continuation. Our classical sofas extend directly from the architecture, their linen covers soft against the solidity of stone. The dining tables are focal points, below the grapevine shaded pergola, in the generous kitchen, next to the infinity pool,- assembled from reclaimed oak, they carry the patina of centuries, its surface marked with weather and work, each cut and knot a trace of another life. Around it, bespoke chairs and benches speak of vernacular lineage, their forms humble yet enduring. In Son Reboa the terraces, patios and olive groves are natural extensions of the house, Mediterranean life is as much about the outside as the inside.
Textiles, in muted tones of stone and straw, soften the geometry without concealing it. Curtains breathe with the breeze, their transparency playing against the density of beams and the weight of carved stone fireplaces. Objects are few, but chosen with care,- ceramics resting in alcoves, a Guillem Nadal painting greets you in the entrance, an amphora grounding a whitewashed corner.
The mood of Son Reboa lies in balance: mass and void, texture and light, permanence and ease. Nothing here feels decorative, only necessary. It is a house that prefers honesty to flourish, an exercise in Mediterranean aesthetic purity
