In the Archaeological Museum of Prague, Tille came across a small clay pot- no label, no provenance- whose silhouette stopped her.
Its form, soft, curved, sculptural, reminded her of the Venus de Milo: purely classical and quintessentially inviting.
She finally found the vessel she longed to ceremoniously wake up to every morning. She saw the perfect cup,- drew its silhouette on a napkin (she was not allowed to take pictures and had left her sketchbook at the hotel)- her smile revealed a snaggle-tooth.
That napkin became the starting point for the Milo cup: rescaled and reinterpreted in Mallorca by our ceramicist, who shaped it in raw white clay, adjusted to spoon in your hand, with a subtle glaze inside to let the amber of tea shine.
This cup later became the protagonist in a tableware collection that carries the same thought of essential form
